Yenagoa - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has cancelled Saturday’s Bayelsa State governorship election in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, reports NewsDay.
The decision means that the Bayelsa State governorship election is inconclusive.

The commission took the decision after reports of violence, the abduction of electoral officials and ballot box snatching in the area.
The supplementary election in the area will be conducted in due date.
