Abuja - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received the request by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to replace the late Abubakar Audu’s name with that of Yahaya Bello for the December 5 supplementary governorship election in Kogi State, reports Leadership.
Nick Dazang, INEC’s Deputy Director, Publicity, confirmed this on Monday in Abuja.

He, however, did not disclose when the commission received the request.
He said that the commission was much ready to conduct both Kogi supplementary and Bayelsa State elections scheduled for Saturday, December 5.
Audu's running name in the election, James Faleke has, however, rejected the party's action.
He has vowed to challenge the party's decision in court.
