INEC confirms Jegede as PDP governorship candidate in Ondo State

Abuja- The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday shut its door against the Ali-Modu Sheriff faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by publishing the name of Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) as the candidate of the party for the Ondo State governorship election.

Jegede, a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State was the factional candidate of the PDP in the state under the factional National Chairman, Ahmed Makarafi.

Names of the political parties and their candidates for the November 26 governorship election in Ondo State were made public on Thursday evening.
