INEC fixes February 13 for Adamawa Reps rerun election

25 January 2016, 18:16

Yola - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed February 13 for the Demsa, Lamurde and Numan Federal Constituency rerun election in Adamawa State.

This is contained in a statement signed by Rifkatu Duku, Head of Information, Adamawa INEC Office.

She said that the election, which is to take place in Demsa, Lamurde and Numan local government areas would hold in all the 30 wards that made up the federal constituency.

The statement urged all stakeholders involved to prepare for the election.

It could be recalled that in November 2016, a Federal Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja nullified the election of Social Democratic Party's Kwamoti Laori and ordered for the rerun election.
