Owerri - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed July 23 for the conduct of the Imo North Senatorial District rerun election, reports Guardian.
The Appeal Court had voided the election hitherto won by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Athan Achonu.
The rerun election was earlier slated for February 20 but was shifted following allegations of plots to rig the election by the All Progressives Congress, reports News 24

The commission has also fixed July 30 for seats voided by the appellate court in the Imo State State House of Assembly.
Seats annulled by the court included the Owerri West, Oru East and Isiala Mbano state constituencies.
