Ilorin - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed May 21 for the conduct of the bye-election into the Kwara State House of Assembly seat in Oke Ero Local Government Area
The rerun election follows the death of the former occupant in February.

The Head of Department of General Administration at INEC, Dr Sadiq Dariga, announced this at the stakeholders’ meeting convened by the commission to discuss how and when to conduct the bye-election to fill the vacant post.
He said that the national headquarters of INEC had fixed May 21 for the bye-election and urged the political parties to be abreast of the rules and regulations
He urged political parties to guard against crisis during the election adding that card readers would be used during the election.
