Abuja - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the 30 political parties are considering the idea of tinkering with the current electoral guideline to allow for simultaneous accreditation and voting, reports Leadership.
The 2015 INEC general election guidelines, provides that accreditation ends at 1pm and eligible voters are required to wait around the vicinity for 30mins before the commencement of voting.

The new idea was part of the issues that were discussed on Wednesday during INEC’s consultative meeting with the parties.
The meeting was the first under the new Chairman of the commission , Prof Mahmud Yakubu.
Yakubu noted that the commission first mooted the idea during the Bayelsa governorship election in Southern Ijaw Local Government.
He said the commission would be seeking the opinions of relevant stakeholders before a decision on the adjustment is made.
