Awka - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has postponed the March 5, Anambra Central Senatorial district re-run election indefinitely.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), in Anambra, Dr. Lawrence Azubuike, made the disclosure in Awka on Tuesday at a stakeholders’ forum in respect of the postponed election.

Azubuike said he received a directive from the National Chairman of the commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu and the commission’s Commissioner in-charge of elections, Hajia Amina Zakari, to postpone the exercise.
He said the postponement was because of court order restraining INEC, from conducting the election.
Azubike said that as a law abiding organisation, INEC, had put off the exercise to a future date.
He appealed to stakeholders to bear with the commission and assured them that they would be communicated as soon as INEC gets a new directive on the
