03 May 2016, 14:53

Lokoja - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State has berated the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) over the release of bailout fund to Kogi State,

The party accused the apex bank of being partisan in its operations.

The party in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Bode Ogunmola, said Gov Yahaya Bello lied to the state workers when he alluded to the efforts of the last administration to access the loan as a shoddy job.

Ogunmola noted that the apex bank deliberately refused to release the fund to the state when it was under the PDP.

He stated that all manners of pressure and lobby was mounted to secure the release but the bank was set not to release the money to former Gov Idris Wada as a sure way of ensuring he loses the governorship election.
