Kogi West APC endorses Faleke

27 November 2015, 13:10

Lokoja - The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Kogi West Senatorial District has endorsed late Abubakar Audu’s running mate, James Faleke as its candidate in the December 5 supplementary election in Kogi State, reports Daily Trust.

In the petition, the party leaders from the zone advised the party to allow Faleke inherit the governorship mandate of the APC based on the need to ensure equity, fairness and justice.

The petition, signed by a former acting governor and speaker in the state, Clarence Obafemi, on behalf of the party stakeholders in the senatorial district, expressed their belief that the consideration of Faleke would ensure that the owners of the mandate were not deprived.

They urged the party to avoid the mistake of compensating those who worked against the party and who will want to take advantage of the new primary being organised by the party and reap from where they did not sow.
