Kano – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano has made a U-turn in its decision to subject the former governor of the state, Rabiu Kwankwaso to disciplinary proceedings, Naij reports.
The party had last week threatened to suspend Kwankwaso for orchestrating a violent rally at the burial of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s mother.
But the APC's Kano state chairperson, Haruna Umar Doguwa, along with other prominent party members reconcidred their decision.
"Having reviewed the reaction of the earlier press statement, I and other officials of our party deemed it necessary to take corrective measures to preserve unity, cohesiveness, and to jealously guard our hard earned victory in Kano State," Doguwa was quoted as saying.
