Asaba - The national leadership of Labour Party (LP) has suspended its 2015 Delta State governorship candidate, Great Ogboru, and 12 others from the party.
The party said it suspended Ogboru and the 12 others over alleged anti-party activities, gross misconduct and conspiracy.
National Chairman of the party, Abdulkadir Salam, who made the disclosure in Asaba while briefing newsmen, said the national leadership of the party was not aware of any agreement purportedly entered into with Ogboru in the build up to the 2015 general election.

Salam described the purported agreement that Ogboru would hand over the structure of the party to Comrade Emeka Nkwoala as frivolous, adding that there was no evidence to that effect.
Salam maintained that Tony Ezeagwu apart from being the authentic chairman of the party in the state recognised by the National Secretariat, did not receive any resignation letter from Ogboru but got to know about it on the pages of newspapers.
