Abuja - Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, has denied reports that there was a clash between his supporters and those of the Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State in Shendam, during the Christmas break, reports NewsDay.
Dalung said the story was not only a media fabrication but also an attempt to generate confusion and erode confidence in the minds of the people against the current leadership.
Governor Lalong and Minister were on Monday reported to have clashed during a cultural festival in Shendam Local Government Area of the state.
Trouble started when the minister came into the Shendam Mini Stadium when the festival was about to end, with the governor already seated.
Dalung’s arrival reportedly disrupted the event, following his long convoy.
