Niger APC suspends three senators, six Reps

Minna - The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State on Monday suspended the three senators and other six legislators, representing the state in the National Assembly.

The lawmakers were suspended over non-remittance of dues to the party.

Secretary of the party in the state  Mohammed Liman, noted that of the 13 lawmakers produced by the party serving in the lower and upper houses at the National Assembly, only six have complied at the moment.

He said the constitution of the APC made it clear that any member that fails to pay his or her dues is technically, not a member of the party.

The three ‎Senators affected include Mustapha Sani Mohammed , David Umaru and Aliyu Abdullahi Sabi.

While, members of the federal house of representatives affected are Muhammed Bala Faruk, Bida/gbako/Kacha, constituency, Mohammad Mahmood, Lapai/Agaie federal constituency and Ahmed Abu Lavun/Edati/Mokwa constituency.

The others are Abubakar Lado Abdullahi Suleja/Tafa/Gurara constituency, Shehu Sule Magama/Rijau constituency and Salihu Adamu Shadafi Bosso/Paikoro Constituency.
