Ogun PDP chieftain, 3 others arraigned for stealing party’s registers

Abeokuta - A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP  in Ogun State, Sikirulai Ogundele, and two others have been arraigned before an Abeokuta Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing the party’s membership registers.

Ogundele, Steve Oliyide and Ogunseye Olabode were docked before Justice O.A Sofowora on a three-count charge of conspiracy, stealing‎ and causing breach of peace in the state.

Ogundele is a two-time member of the Ogun State House of Assembly.

The accused, who were in court, pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to them.

The judge in her ruling, granted the accused bail in the sum of N250 000 each, with sureties who must be resident in Abeokuta.

She added that both the accused and their sureties must also submit their passport photographs with the court.

She thereafter adjourned the case till April 28 for further hearing.
