#OndoDecides: AA candidate withdraws

23 November 2016, 15:33

Akure - The Action Alliance (AA) candidate for Saturday's governorship election in Ondo State, Mr. Yinka Orokoto has withdrawn from the race.

He has collapsed his structure with that of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), reports New Telegraph.

Speaking at the grand rally of AD in Akure on Tuesdayl, Orokoto said he has collapsed his campaign structures with that of  Olusola Oke and that his supporters should vote for the AD during the election.

Orokoto according to The Nation said that his decision to endorse the AD candidate was an easy one, pointing out that Oke was fully prepared for the office he is seeking and will offer the best hope for the state.

Oke, who appreciated the gesture, said the fact that a political party and its candidate support his candidature shows his acceptability among the electorate in the state.

Oke warned against any attempt to manipulate the poll.
