Benin City . Gov Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state on Wednesday said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state in dead, reports Daily Post.
He said the party would be laid to rest after Saturday's governorship election in the state.
Oshiomhole made the declaration while reacting to calls for the postponement of the Saturday’s election due to security concerns.
He said the people of the state are already preparing for the PDP's burial.
He said the coffin for the burial has been purchased and the people are eagerly waiting for the burial.
The Independent National Electoral Commission on Thursday said it would go ahead with the elections, reports News 24
The decision to go ahead with the election was taken Thursday morning after a meeting with stakeholders and consideration of the security report.
