Benin City - As the Peoples Democratic Party PDP prepares to challenge the outcome of the Edo governorship election in court, Gov Adam Oshiomhole has threatened to expose the party in court, reports Punch.
He said the poll was actually rigged in favour of the PDP 's candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, contrary to claims by the party that its candidate was denied victory in the election.
The governor spoke while addressing some APC youths during a road show held from Five Junction to Dawson Road, shortly after a visit to the crown prince of Benin Kingdom, His Royal Highness Eheneden Erediauwa.

He said Ize-Iyamu could not have scored more than 50 000 votes if the election was not rigged.
So, it’s like an armed robber rushing to the police station with bullet wounds and claiming that he has been shot, whereas he was the one who opened fire on very innocent people. We will expose them where it matters in our courtrooms.
Ize-Iyamu lost the September 28 election to the APC's candidate, Godwin Obaseki with 66 310.
Obaseki according to News 24 polled 319 483 votes as against Ize-Iyamu’s 253 173 votes to win the election.
