16 May 2016, 10:10

Abuja - The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State of causing confusion in the party, reports Punch.

The party said rather than interfering in the affairs of the party,Gov Fayose should concentrate on running his state.

According to Daily Post, Fayose came under attack from the leadership of the party for going ahead to conduct the party’s South-west zonal congress in Akure, Ondo State on Saturday despite the court order which asked the party to suspend the exercise.

The party accused Gov Fayose of looking down on the party’s leadership.

The National Secretary of the party, Prof. Wale Oladipo, who spoke on behalf of the party leadership noted that Fayose  is not a member of the National Working Committee of the PDP and should stop causing confusion with his utterances and actions.

Oladipo said the party had decided to obey the order of Justice Ibrahim Buba of a Federal High Court in Lagos, which restrained the party from going ahead with its zonal congress.
