PDP blasts Ambode over comment on Lagosians

15 December 2015, 18:23

Lagos -  The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State has chided Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for lacking morals and commitment to Lagosians, reports National Mirror.

The party’s stance was coming on the heels of the governor’s recent generalisation and condemnation of the attitudes of people of the state.

It would be recalled that at a recent function of Iyalode of lagos Forum/ health screening, the governor scored Lagosians low in morals and attitudes, thus called for attitudinal change.

Reacting to Ambode's comments, the PDP in a statement by its publicity secretary, Taofik Gani, alleged that Governor Ambode was indifferent and ungrateful to Lagosians, who voted him into power.

While describing the governor’s assessment of Lagosians as very uncharitable and misdirected, the PDP said residents of the state are known to be persevering and supporters of good government policies.

The PDP also described the use of the newly bought police helicopter by some leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to a social function at Ile-Ife as the height of irresponsibility from any government with sincerity of purpose.
