Abuja - The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Felix Obuah, has expressed satisfaction over the participation by the people of the Rivers South-East Senatorial district in the Thursday rally of the Party in Bori.
He particularly commended the peoples of Ogoni, Andoni, Opobo/Nkoro and Oyigbo that make up that senatorial district as well as other residents and business operators in the area who defied the heavy downpour to attend.
He said the people of the areas had further demonstrated and reassured him, Governor Nyesom Wike and the party leadership of their resolve to vote for the candidates of the PDP when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) sets new dates for elections.

Violence halted the holding of elections.
He said the peaceful disposition and conduct of all participants at the event on Thursday negated claims by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and INEC the place was unsafe for the conduct of the earlier rescheduled re-run legislative election on Saturday.
Obuah described the participation in the Bori rally as a signal and indicator of the success of the PDP in any free and fair election that would be conducted in the Ogoni area and other parts of the Rivers South-East Senatorial district.
“The people of the area are most dependable and wise in their decision of being fully PDP.”
