PDP cautions Buhari over travel ban on Fayose, Wike

01 June 2016, 18:44

Osogbo - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has warned President Mohammadu Buhari against act capable of plunging the country into another civil war, reports NewsDay.

The party urged the President to immediately drop plans to impose travel ban on Governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and Ayo Fayose, of Ekiti State

The party stated that there was nothing done to Buhari by the duo that  Gov. Rauf Aregbesola of Osun did not do to former President Goodluck Jonathan while he was in office.

The party according to Today noted that the proposed travel plan on the two governors would spell doom should the federal government curtail their constitutionally guaranteed immunity.

The party described such moves as witch-hunting and unconstitutional.

The party called on all past Heads of State and Presidents to prevail on Buhari to shelve the idea to safe the country of needless tension and constitutional crises.
