PDP crisis: Sheriff attacks Wike, Fayose, others

Abuja - As the crisis rocking the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) continues on, factional National Chairman of the party, Ali Modu Sheriff on Thursday lambasted some party chieftains over their comments and roles in the ongoing crisis

In a television programme: Matters Arising on African Independent Television ,AIT, which was monitored by our correspondents, Sheriff touched on several topical issues concerning PDP.

While reacting to comments about his popularity in the country, he had this to say:

“When I was deputy governor, Wike was a bloody local government chairman, “Fayose was a bus conductor, yet they said i was not known in Nigeria, that am a nobody.

“I have served in the Senate thrice and twice as governor”.

Sheriff also accused Sen. Ben Obi, Gov Nyesom Wike and others of being tools in the hands of APC members.

When asked of the way forward to resolving the current crisis, Sheriff declared his readiness for peace.

“PDP believes I’m somebody, that is why they came to me. ”

They should create a level playing ground for every participant for the chairmanship position and as long as Wike is not chairman of the convention am open to negotiation”.

Sheriff denied influencing court decisions or having any link with Justice Okon Abang of the Abuja Federal High court.
