Abuja - The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) took a turn for the worse as the three factions laying claims to the leadership of the party on Monday held parallel meetings at different locations, reports Leadership.
While the embattled former National Chairman, Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party were meeting, the Concerned PDP Stakeholders led by Prof. Jerry Gana also met.
Similarly, the Senator Ahmed Maikarfi-led Caretaker Committee also met.
Today reports that none of the factions, however, came to the party’s headquarters.
The party’s secretariat is still be barricaded by heavily armed policemen.

It was learnt that the Maikarfi-led committee was perfecting plans to extend an olive branch to the Gana group.
It was also gathered that the caretaker committee was desirous of forging an alliance with the elders of the party.
