PDP deletes Obasanjo, Tambuwal’s names from BoT members

Abuja - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has deleted the name of former President Olusegun Obasanjo from the list of its Board of Trustees(BoT) members.

Obasanjo resigned his membership of the party before the 2015 general elections.

Obasanjo’s name topped the list of 31 names removed from the board during the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Monday.

Other big names removed from the list are those of three past National Chairmen of the party –Barnabas Gemade, Kawu Baraje and Bamanga Tukur.

The rest are former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola; former Senate President Ken Nnamani; former Gombe State, Danjuma Goje; former Akwa Ibom State Governor Victor Attah; and Jim Nwobodo.

The names of five former Speakers of the House of Representatives – Salihu Buhari, Ghali Na’Abba, Aminu Masari, Patricia Ette and Aminu Tambuwal –were also deleted from the list.
