Abuja - The National Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is expected to meet on Thursday to decide the tenure of the National Chairman of the party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, reports Punch.

National Treasurer of the party, Bala Buhari, who confirmed the meeting on Monday, said the outcome of the meeting would be binding on all members.
Sheriff’s appointment has been dogged by controversies since his emergence about two weeks ago.
While the party’s Governors Forum and other organs of the party have stated that Sheriff will leave office in May after the party’ national convention, other groups within the party have insisted that he should step down from the position immediately.
