PDP governorship aspirant 10 000 others endorse Dickson

20 November 2015, 12:21

Yenagoa - The chances of Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State winning the December 5, 2015 governorship election on Thursday became brighter as a former governorship aspirant in the state, Reuben Okoya and over 10 000 members from communities in Bayelsa Central endorsed his second term bid, reports The Nation.

The people of the communities, who trooped out to receive Dickson and his entourage, pledged their commitment to his re-election, citing his performance in his first term in office as the reason.

The communities visited included Ikolo, Bumoundi-Ekpetiama, Akabiri, Yenebebeli, Yenaka, Edepie, Akenpai, Akenfa, Yenegwe, Agudama and Igboghene.

Okoya, who vied on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said in spite of the lean resources and dwindling allocations from the Federation Account, the governor has been able to impact on the lives of the people in the state.

Dickson thanked the people for their support and assured them of his determination to reposition the state if re-elected.
