Port Harcourt - The Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said the appointment of the former state Governor, Rotimi Amaechi as the Minister of Transportation will not make any meaningful impact to the Rivers people, reports New Telegraph.
The party said this is because Amaechi is allegedly at war with the state.

The state chairman of the party, Felix Obuah, who sated this in a statement on Thursday, described the appointment of Amaechi as a big loss to the Rivers people.
Obuah noted that since Amaechi does not believe in the development vision of Governor Nyesom Wike, his appointment as a minister cannot make any meaningful impact to Rivers.
He added that Amaechi’s appointment has put a question mark on President Muhammadu Buhari’s war against corruption and has given Nigerians a clear picture that Buhari’s war against corruption is targeted at perceived political enemies and opponents.
