PDP knocks Ondo governorship aspirant over misguided remarks

14 September 2016, 17:01

Akure - The Senator Ahmed Makarfi faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has called on former Commissioner for Environment in the state, Sola Ebiseni, to stop what it said was his misguided” utterances against the party, reports The Nation.

Ebiseni, who contested the governorship primary under the Ali Modu Sheriff faction was defeated by Jimoh Ibrahim, reports News 24.

Ebiseni following his loss has described the two governorship primary elections held in the state as illegal.

While the Makarfi faction held its primary in Akure, the Sheriff faction primary was done in Ibadan

But the Publicity Secretary of the Makarfi faction, Banji Okunomo, noted that it was wrong for Ebiseni to have described the primary held in Akure as “illegal and undemocratic”.

Okunomo cautioned Ebiseni against over-ambition, which, he claimed, is making him to ‘approbate and reprobate’ at the same time.

He stated that Ebiseni’s position is a confirmation of the initial stand of the party that the Sheriff faction and its dealings were illegal.
