Lokoja - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP )and the embattled Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Jimoh Lawal alongside the eight other members of the state House of Assembly have dragged five members of the House to court over their unlawful bid to alter the leadership structure of the state legislature.
The plaintiffs are seeking amongst other reliefs, a declaration that the purported impeachment of the Lawal and other principal officers of the house was unconstitutional, null and void.

They are also seeking immediate restoration Lawal as Speaker as well as the other principal officers to their positions.
Joined in the suit are the Attorney General of the Federation, the Inspector General of Police, the Director of the State Security Services and the Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
The case comes up on March 24 before Justice N. Dimgba of court 11. Federal High Court, Abuja.
