Abuja - There are indications that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party has has settled for the North-East Vice Chairman, Senator Giri Lawan, as its choice candidate for the National Chairman of the party, reports Today.
Lawan, who is the Chairman of PDP six zonal National chairmen will be presented to the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) for adoption on Thursday.

Lawan's choice according to members of the NWC is a softer way to keep the party going and to escape factionalisation
The choice of Lawan is expected to scale through because members of the NWC are presently enjoying the backing of elected members of the party.
