Akure - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has picked John Ola Mafo as the running mate of Eyitayo Jegede in the November 26, 2016 governorship election in the state, reports Daily Post
The party has forwarded his name to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the Deputy Governorship candidate of the PDP in the election.
The party said the decision is in line with the directive of INEC that the issues bordering on withdrawal and replacement of candidates would elapse today, October 12, 2016.

Mafo was a former Chairman of Ilaje Local Government area and former Commissioner for Information in the state .
Mafo was also a former Special Adviser to Governor Olusegun Mimiko and was until his nomination, the Chairman of the Ondo State Football Association (ODSFA).
