PDP tackles Kogi governor

03 March 2016, 14:18

Lokoja - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State has condemned Governor Yahaya Bello’s approach to governance since he assumed power in January.

The party accused him of moving the state on the path of retrogression instead of sustainable development.

The party in a statement by its spokesman, Bode Ogunmola, said Bello’s 30 days in office had witnessed knee jerk approach to governance characterized by poor policy formulations, reversals and somersaults.

The party said the arbitrary blockage of a section of the Government House road in Lokoja, and converting same to a single lane was a retrogressive action, which he said had subjected many road users to hardships.

The party also condemned the recent demolition of roundabouts in Lokoja by the governor, whom he said was reportedly acting on advice of some marabouts.

The party advised the governor to focus on providing purposeful leadership and leave voodoism to occultic practitioners.
