10 December 2015, 16:07

Benin City -  The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State has slammed Governor Adams Oshiomhole for sacking the state Head of Service (HoS), Jerry Obazele and the Permanent Secretary, Dan Aigbavboa, reports New Telegraph.

The duo were sacked for lapses in the handling of Information Communication Technology (ICT) issues that led to alleged corrupt practices in the data of the state pension’s board and others.

The PDP accused the governor and the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government in the state of applying the principle of scapegoatism in the government and governance of the state.

The party said  it was unacceptable to members of the party and Edo people the way the HoS and the permanent secretary were sacked by the governor.

Chris Nehikhare, Publicity Secretary of the PDP in the state, asked the governor to resign from office for his failure and incompetence in addressing some of the problems confronting the state.
