PDP urges Sylva not to appeal election loss

13 January 2016, 18:09

Yenagoa - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the Bayelsa State governorship election, Timipre Sylva, not to waste his time by contesting his loss at the poll, reports New Telegraph.

The party said Sylva would still lose at the tribunal if he decides to contest the outcome of the election.

Sylva had on Monday at a news conference rejected the results of the election and declared that he would be heading for the court to contest it.

He urged Sylva and his party to work together with Gov Seriake Dickson to move the state forward instead of going to court.
