Plateau PDP debunks re-registration of members

Jos - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State has debunked rumour making the rounds that the party is embarking on re-registration of its members, reports Daily Post.

The party also said it has discovered that some misguided elements are going about deceiving members that they would conduct re-registration of members.

In a statement signed by newly elected state Publicity Secretary of the party,John Akans,, the PDP stated that, “It has come to the notice of the newly elected executive of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau state that some misguided elements are going about deceiving citizens of the state by re-registering members of our great party PDP.

“The party wishes to debunk the rumor that there is nothing of such organised by the new exco of the party.

“The party wish to put it on record that congresses from wards, local governments, states and zonal levels have been successfully conducted on the 30th of April, 5th of May and 14th of May respectfully.

 “The security personnel, Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) and other civil society organizations were part of the observers and officials of the concluded congresses of our great party.

“The party is therefore calling on all its members and stakeholders spread across the state to be aware of such fraudulent elements and to disregard them.
