07 April 2016, 17:13

Yola - Gov Bindow Jibrilla of Adamawa State has been dragged to High Court Yola by three political parties for appointing Local Governments Head of Service to act as council chairmen in the state.

The three political parties includes; the Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN), Alliance for Democracy (AD) and Alliance Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN).

The parties are seeking for a declaration that by virtue of the provision of Section 7 of the 1999 Constitution and Section 13 of the Local Government Law, CAP 80, Laws of Adamawa state of Nigeria, 1997, the manning of local government councils by head of service is undemocratic and unconstitutional.
