Presidency fires back at PDP over assassination attempt on Ekweremadu

Abuja - The Presidency has denied claims by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that the All Progressives Congress- led federal government is raising a killer squad against PDP chieftains, reports Vanguard.

The Presidency described the claims as ridiculous.

The PDP had on Wednesday accused the APC of being behind the assassination attempt on the life of the Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu.

The PDP also said some of its leaders have been marked for death.

In a swift reaction, the Presidency asked the PDP to stop embarrassing itself before the Nigerian populace which it said knows the truth.

Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Mohammadu Buhari,who spoke in reaction to the PDP’s allegation, stated that Nigerians know the party that is a nest of killers.
