Report on Ondo APC primary ready’

14 September 2016, 21:27

Abuja - An appeal panel raised by the All Progressives Congress over the controversial Ondo governorship primary is set to submit its report this week, reports Punch.

The committee is probing the governorship primary that produced Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) as winner of the election.

Some of the aspirants who contested the governorship ticket of the APC had petitioned the Appeal Panel Committee headed by Mrs. Helen Bendega demanding the cancelation of the result of the primaries.

Among those who submitted their petitions to the panel alleging irregularities in the primaries are  Olusola Oke, Senator Ajayi Borofice and Segun Abraham.

While Abraham came second in the primaries, Oke came third and Borofice took the fourth position in the primaries contested by 24 aspirants, reports News 24

One of the contentious issues in the Ondo primary is the alleged irregularities in the delegates list submitted by the National Working Committee of APC.
