Port Harcourt - The Rivers State House of Assembly on Monday cleared 17 caretaker committees to take charge of 17 out of the 23 Local Government Areas of the state.
Most of the caretakers were asked to take a bow and leave the hallowed chambers after introducing themselves.

The Speaker of the House, Adams Dabotorudima, said the confirmation was imperative for administrative efficiency in the third tier of government.
He congratulated the caretaker committee chairmen on their appointment, urging them to show exemplary leadership.
