Abuja – Ahead of tomorrow’s polls, All Progressives Congress
(APC) candidate for Rivers South East Senatorial District, Magnus Abe, has praised
the Obolo nation and Sylvanus Kingston for defecting to APC.
Speaking at a rally at Ngo town in Andoni Local Government
Area, Abe expressed joy that locals had realised the path to the development of
Andoni could properly be attained through the APC.
“I want to say clearly that no man is upset with any of our
people who went to PDP (People's Democratic Party). We know why people went to
PDP,” claimed Abe.
“People did not go to PDP because of (Governor Nyesom) Wike.
They did not go to PDP because they wanted to perpetuate Ikwerre governorship
in Rivers State.”

Abe claimed locals were in PDP for the sake of not
abandoning former president Goodluck Jonathan, beaten by Buhari in 2015 but a
firm favourite in the Rivers.
“People went to PDP because they felt that we should not
abandon Jonathan who was our son and those of us who know the importance of
development in politics, felt that every politician is entitled to the vote of
'you are our own'.”
