Port Harcourt - Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State was reported to have charged voters to beat-up the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi if they see him driving around during Saturday’s legislative rerun elections in the state.

At the grand finale of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign rally held at Ikwerre Local government area on Tuesday, Wike urged the voters to beat Amaechi thoroughly if they sight him at their polling units.

Wike was reacting to the statement credited to the Minister during a radio programme in Port Harcourt on Monday that he will move from one polling unit to another during the elections.

Wike declared that under his watch, Amaechi will never be allowed to leave his polling unit on Saturday.
