Port Harcourt - Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has castigated President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, saying it is capable of "setting Nigeria on the path of anarchy", following the violence that punctuated the Rivers State rerun elections.
Fayose accused Buhari's ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party over "the open display of contempt for free, fair and transparent election", according to Premium Times.
Fayose said this in a statement on Saturday.
"Obviously, INEC (Independent National Electoral Commission) under President Buhari has destroyed that legacy of free, fair and transparent elections bequeathed on Nigeria by the PDP government of former President Goodluck Jonathan," Fayose was quoted as saying.
He said this following reports of INEC produced Results Sheets with PDP omitted.
"I wonder what is going to happen in 2019 if INEC and security agents are acting in this clear compromised manner in Rivers State," he said.
