Abuja - Self- acclaimed National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ali Modu Sheriff, has described the public conduct of Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose as shameful and irresponsible, reports NewsDay.
He was responding to Fayose’s allegations that he was scheming to be President in 2019.
Fayose has stated that the reason why he withdrew his support for Sheriff was that the former Borno governor was planning to become the President of Nigeria using the party's platform, reports News 24
Sheriff noted that the public behaviour of Fayose is unbecoming of a governor.
He denied scheming for the party’s presidential ticket, saying he never told anybody that he wanted to run for president and never promised anybody the vice presidential ticket.

He also reiterated his claim as the party’s chairman.
According to him, the National Working Committee (NWC) under him is in charge of the bank accounts of the PDP, not the Ahmed Makarfi-led caretaker committee.
