Abuja - The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Ali Modu Sheriff has intervened in the crisis rocking the Kogi State House of Assembly.
Speaking while receiving the embattled Speaker of the House, Momoh Jimoh Lawal and PDP members in audience at the party National Secretariat on Tuesday, Sheriff said the party will work to ensure that the rule of law and natural justice is upheld.

Sheriff said the purported impeachment of Lawal cannot stand, noting that five out of twenty five assembly members cannnot claim to impeach a Speaker in an informal sitting in a private residence.
He said as far as the party is concerned, the leadership of the Kogi State House of Assembly remains unchanged.
