Abuja - Members of the public in Imo State
have been alerted to an alleged online account tarnishing the image of the
Okigwe senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Benjamin
The Convergence of Okigwe Youths for Human Rights and
Good Governance (COYHRGG) has raised the alarm, accusing Samuelson Ikenna
Iwuoha of running the so-called Okigwe Unity Forum on Facebook ahead of the
rescheduled Okigwe senate election.
Iwuoha has been described as “a well-known psychopath,
serial blackmailer, cultist and an ex-convict, who has being in and out of the
Nigerian prison, after committing various offences, ranging from, stealing,
murder, blackmail and cultism.”
Dr Osita Mgbeahurike, the National President of COYHRGG
alleged that one of the senatorial candidates for the Okigwe senate election
had hired the services of Iwuoha, to smear the image of his opponents by
insulting, casting aspersions on them and distributing pamphlets and flyers
designed to discredit and misrepresent them before the general public.

“This is sequel to the adoption of Lunatic Iwuoha’s 3
million naira proposal, to engage the opponents of the Senatorial candidate, in
a character assassination war and propaganda, as well as, the nocturnal
meetings they have been holding; first, at Ehime Mbano, chaired by a serving
senator in the state and secondly, at Okigwe, in a meeting chaired by a
senatorial candidate,” alleged Mgbeahurike.
‘’It is regrettable and shameful that an Okigwe son who
is seeking to be elected into the Nigerian Senate or a serving Senator will out
of desperation for power toe the line of Samuelson Iwuoha or even associate
with criminality, drug peddling, cultism, unethical behaviors, personality
brigandage and character assassination which Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha
Mgbeahurike said COYHRGG therefore wished to inform members
of the public to be on the alert.
The officials urged senatorial candidates of various
political parties in Okigwe to exhibit high level of morality and good conduct
in the pursuit for Okigwe senate seat.
“The general public is, hereby, advised to ignore the
propaganda and spurious allegations of desperate individuals who have since
failed to understand that the era of propaganda is long gone.”
