Stop intimidating Fayose, PDP youths warn Buhari

06 April 2016, 16:21

Abuja - A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth group known as the National Youth Frontier (PDPNYF) has warned President Muhammadu Buhari  to desist from acts of intimidating Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State and other members of the opposition party.

The group warned Buhari against using operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) to shut out opposition in Ekiti and other states controlled by the PDP.

The youths in a statement issued in Abuja by its National Coordinator, Okai Austin accused Buhari of using security operatives to intimidate Fayose and other PDP governors who are not sympathetic to his change mantra.

Austin urged Buhari to realize that he is a beneficiary of democracy and as such, should protect the rights of fellow citizens as mandated by the Constitution.

Austin also accused the DSS of been the militia arm of the All Progressives Congress led administration, adding that the agency now feels that the only persons capable of causing breakdown of law and order are members of the PDP.
