Stop politicising my private life, Atiku says

28 December 2015, 09:42

Dubai - Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has distanced himself from rumours that he hosted political meetings in Dubai in a bid to frustrate President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, Punch reports.

Atiku said such allegation were the work of enemies of progress who do not mean well for the APC administration and were bent on causing distrust and distraction in Buhari’s government.

He urged the public not to listen to such rumour-mongers, insisting he was not plotting against the president.

Atiku revealed that he went to Dubai with his family for physiotherapy on his injured knee.

He said like every other Nigerian, he was entitled to enjoying his private life, including the right to attend to his health without being harassed and lied against by political opponents. He said his private life should not be politicised to achieve any evil objective.
