Yenagoa - The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the inconclusive Bayelsa State governorship election, Timipre Sylva, has denied withdrawing from the rescheduled governorship election in Southern Ijaw, reports The Sun.
He said those behind the rumour of his withdrawal were engaged in a failed effort to save candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and governor of the state Seriake Dickson, from the imminent defeat.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed January 9, 2016 as the date for the conduct of the rescheduled poll.
