Yenagoa - Ahead of the Saturday supplementary election in Bayelsa State, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governor of the state, Timipre Sylva, has expressed confidence that he would win the election, reports New Telegraph.

He said he does not need the support of the wife of the former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dame Patience  to win.

Sylva stated this on Wednesday at a world press conference in Yengoa, the state capital.

He also denied meeting with any ex-militant leader on the prompting of the former First Lady.
